The Bionutrient Meter w/ Greg Austic @ Our Sci
When: Tuesday Aug 27, 2019 from 6:30-8:30pm
Where: MI HQ, 600 S. Wagner Road, Ann Arbor MI 48103

The Bionutrient Meter: a handheld device designed to help users make on-the-spot assessments of food quality. Shoot a beam of infrared light at a food item, get a reading based on the light that bounces back.

Yet the Bionutrient Meter is more than just an amazing piece of technology backed by a powerful vision for transforming the food system. It’s also a collaborative process of building out the data set, sharing, and exploring the tool’s potential.

Sound interesting? Greg Austic, one of the developers of this amazing technology, will explain what it is, update us on the status of the project, explain the open-source philosophy it's based on, and describe how you can get involved. Participants will work in small groups to take a reading on a sample.

Feel free to bring finger foods / light snacks to share.
