We are excited to announce the formation of BFA Central Maryland, which will cover Maryland, DC, south-central PA, Northern Virginia and West Virginia's eastern panhandle. As we get up and running, we will announce a schedule of guest speakers, activities, farm tours, hands-on demonstrations and more. We invite you to get in touch, spread the word and offer your suggestions for our chapter!

Bionutrient Food Association Central Maryland Chapter is holding our first meeting Earth Day, Monday, April 22 at 6PM at Utica Bridge Farms in Thurmont, MD. Our special guest speaker is the incredible MARK COHEN, bringing us fresh information from a major farm tour including Living Web Farms. Join us, bring your regen friends. Potluck, seed swap and compost exchange (so we all get everyone's biodiversity.) Spread the word. BFA members and non-members welcome! Free event!
Mark Cohen has a background in wildlife biology, ecology, ethnobotany, permaculture, cooperative land use, and renewable energy. Mark has been an organic inspector with OEFFA for 26 years, and lives in Southern Ohio at Far Valley Farm, a 30-year old intentional community he helped co-found. Living off the grid for 37 years and growing a wide range of crops, seeds, honey, mushrooms, and medicinals. He founded the Belize Agroforestry Research Center, a permaculture research and teaching facility based in Southern Belize, and spent 25 winters in Central America practicing and teaching tropical permaculture. Mark is constantly learning, teaching, and consulting (cross-pollinating) in his travels.
