About Our Chapter: We are the Hartford, CT Chapter of the Bionutrient Food Association and our mission is to increase nutrient density in our food supply through biological, regenerative growing. We look to strengthen soil health through soil testing, remineralization, and supporting soil biology. We bring together farmers, gardeners, and anyone who is interested in growing high quality food. We have monthly events which include the winter book club, farm tours, seed swaps, workshops, and potlucks. We encourage seed saving and seed sharing efforts to promote regional seed resilience. We assist with soil testing and interpretation and have a mineral depot (in Simsbury, CT) where members can access amendments and liquid foliar sprays in smaller quantities at a reduced cost. We run a demonstration garden to showcase that you CAN regenerate and build soil. We have seen our crops and our soils get better over the years.
